Welcome to our Practice
Sound Pediatrics will be closing the practice on October 31st, 2025. We are so grateful for all of our patients and the opportunity to serve each and every one of you. After many years, Dr. Hawley has decided to take the long-deserved leap into retirement and our amazing Dr. Ellgass will be going over to Peninsula Community Health. Please see the letter below that was mailed out. Please call our office with any questions you may have.
Dear Families,

It is with mixed emotions that I am writing this letter to let you know that I am retiring and Sound Pediatrics will close on October 31st. Our last day seeing patients will be on October 29th 2025. I am looking forward to retirement, but I will miss seeing all of you!

Dr. Katie Ellgass will continue to practice pediatrics at Peninsula Community Health Services in Silverdale. ​
​
Dr. Ellgass has agreed to accept my patients who are 0-12 years of age if you would like to transfer care to her. Sound Family Health has agreed to accept my patients ages 12 years and older or children of any age if a parent already sees one of their providers. There are also other providers in the community accepting new patients as well.

Melissa Compton, our amazing office manager, will continue to work remotely after the practice closes to handle any billing or administrative tasks that are needed. Her email is mcompton@soundpeds.com and her phone number is 360-865-0432. You can contact her directly until December 31, 2025. After this date we will update our website with new contact information at www.soundpeds.com.
